Snapseed was originally created by Nik and named app of the year by Apple in 2011. Nik was subsequently acquired by Google and sold on again in 2017. However, the Snapseed app remained under the ownership of Google.

• Open Snapseed and use it to open a photo from your phone’s photo app (Apple or Google photos).
• Copy a photo from another app ( Apple photos or and email) and open it in Snapseed by using the paste option.
